  • The Director of Workplace Technology is a technology leadership position within the Technology Operations Infrastructure team, reporting directly to the SVP of Technology, Security, and Compliance. The key task of this role is the end-to-end accountability for AP's global corporate technology ecosystem architecture, including workstations, A/V systems, productivity software, 3rd party SaaS tools, mobile devices, and IT departmental Project Management.
  • This role requires a highly accountable technology leader with a strong understanding of relevant technology and operations and a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Lead an enterprise application administrator and collaborate with all IT & Security team professionals to support the workplace technology ecosystem.
  • Be accountable for technology lifecycle management, including support activities, technology planning, refresh, and deployment.
  • Develop and drive long-term strategic plans for workstation and support lifecycle management.
  • Escalation points to resolve critical issues, including C-Suite white glove support.
  • Support the technology budget process along with the other IT leaders, ensuring the yearly planning and spending meet strategic goals.
  • Ensure security and audit requirements for end-user technology are met.
  • Proactively identify operational and technology weaknesses to improve service levels.
  • Partner with staffing vendors to ensure global support standards are being met and identify/remediate issues.
  • You need to be a visionary looking to transform end-user technology alongside AP's larger business and product transformation.
  • Partner with other global infrastructure leaders to ensure shared goals are aligned and delivered on target.
  • Modernize and deploy enhanced device management tools and techniques.What we look for in you:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    • At least 8+ years of experience in corporate technology/operations experience.
    • Attention to detail and strong customer service mindset.
    • Demonstrated expertise in project and program management.
    • Demonstrated success in building project, program, and/or technology management teams.
    • Hands-on expertise in technology strategy and end-user technology lifecycle management.
    • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
    • Track record of successful technology transformations.
    • Understanding of asset management best practices.
    • Experience with enterprise asset management tools.
    • Deep understanding of modern device management best practices and toolsets.
    • Demonstrated understanding of Workstation remote management tools and deployments.
    • Strong technical management experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
    • Deep understanding of Active Directory architecture and ecosystem.
    • Excellent work organization, self-management skills, and a multitasker with excellent time management skills who can handle tight deadlines.
