Job Description:
The Role: We're searching for an energetic and visionary City
Lead to spearhead the planning and execution of a diverse range of
curated events - from exclusive breakfasts and dinners to lively
happy hours and outdoor adventures. As a City Lead, you will be
responsible for acquiring rare and hard-to-reach partners,
negotiating deals for Base Social events, and leading a team to
excellence in event execution and member satisfaction. Your
strategic decisions will help shape the long-term success of Base
by creating and maintaining a network of top-tier venues and
partners that our Members will love.Your responsibilities
include---
- Acquiring Exclusive Partnerships: Build and maintain
relationships with rare, high-quality restaurant partners and other
luxury venues that align with Base's vision.
- Negotiating Deals: Act as the key negotiator for the city,
securing beneficial terms for local partnerships while upholding
the high standards that Base is known for.
- Public Presence: Be the face of Base at events, where you will
ensure events are seamless and Members feel connected.
- Partnership Deals: Lead the acquisition of local partnership
deals that offer exclusive benefits to members and elevate the
quality of our events.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team dedicated to delivering
excellence in event coordination and customer success, continuously
pushing them to meet and exceed standards.
- Member Feedback: Regularly meet with members to gather insights
and feedback to improve Base's offerings, ensuring our product
evolves with the needs of our community.A typical day could look
like---Partner Outreach: Begin your day by visiting potential
restaurant and venue partners, scheduling in-person meetings, and
building rapport with high-end venues that align with Base's
elevated standards. Expect to spend a few hours in back-to-back
discussions, negotiations, and site visits, ensuring you're
continually expanding Base's partnership network.Team Check-ins &
Event Prep: Mid-morning, you'll meet with your team to review the
logistics for upcoming Member events. Whether it's finalizing guest
lists, coordinating with venue staff, or confirming that all event
elements are in place, you'll be deep in the details, making sure
your city's operations run smoothly.Negotiating Partnership Deals:
In the early afternoon, you'll move on to negotiating and
finalizing deals with partners for upcoming events. Whether on-site
at a luxury venue or at a partner's office, your job will be to
lock in terms that deliver the exclusivity and quality Base members
expect, ensuring mutual benefit for all parties involved.On-Site
Event Presence: As evening approaches, you'll shift into event
mode. You'll spend significant time on-site at Base Socials,
Explores, or other events, ensuring everything runs flawlessly.
You're not just overseeing the logistics-you're greeting members,
troubleshooting any issues, and making sure the experience reflects
Base's high standards.Member Engagement: Between events, you'll
regularly meet with Base members, either at a partner venue or over
coffee, listening to their feedback, understanding their
preferences, and gathering insights on how to improve the product.
This information will be key to refining partnerships and ensuring
that your city's offerings meet and exceed Member
expectations.Late-Night Follow-ups: After a long day, you'll often
wrap up with late-night follow-ups, responding to partners and
members, reviewing event success, and prepping for the next day.
This role is fast-paced and demands flexibility, with long hours
often stretching into evenings or weekends to meet the demands of a
high-end, service-driven business.On a weekly basis, this could
include---Multiple Events Per Week: You'll attend or oversee at
least 2-3 major events weekly, being physically present to ensure
flawless execution and high member satisfaction.Strategic Partner
Meetings: Several days each week will be dedicated to external
meetings with potential and current partners, focusing on
cultivating long-term, high-value relationships.Team Leadership &
Development: At least 1-2 team meetings per week to evaluate
performance, provide guidance, and strategize on improving event
quality and member engagement.You are perfect for this role

- Proven Experience: At least 5 years of event planning and
coordination experience, preferably within the luxury hospitality
industry.
- Organizational Expertise: Strong organizational skills with a
keen eye for detail, ensuring every aspect of events is executed to
perfection.
- Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of your city's culture,
venues, and event landscape, allowing you to cultivate top-tier
partnerships.
- Multitasking Ability: Capacity to manage multiple projects
simultaneously, balancing event planning, team management, and
member engagement.
- Exceptional Communication: Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships
with partners, members, and your team.
- Strong Work Ethic: A commitment to providing exceptional
service and pushing for higher standards in every aspect of your

- Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work a flexible schedule,
including nights and weekends, to meet the demands of on-site event
management.
